October 8, 1970

Born Gerald Thomas Hedlund, Junior, he soon became known as J.J. before he made his first friend. Legend has it that his mother and grandmother grew weary of writing ‘Jerry Jr.’ in their correspondences, and the extraneous letters got lost somewhere in the mail.

‘J.J.’ began his writing career with the assistance of his sister Jen, two years his senior, at the tender age of 3 when they collaborated on a story entitled, ‘The Pain and the Great One.’ Okay, so he didn’t have a tremendous amount of input for the tale of sibling rivalry, but remember, he was barely just an intern at the time and not overly fluent in grammatical English.

Everything that transpired from the evening of October 8, 1970 was written in the stars. He claims no responsibility for anything he might have or will do. His characters, places, and events within his works are fictional. Any resemblance to real individuals and events is strictly deliberate (albeit probably more subconsciously than he would like to believe). He does apologize if you find your likeness within the times of these writings to be less than flattering, but he doesn’t lose sleep over it. (Just remember, he’s not exactly the prince of all things wonderful, either.)
